I think warrants a quick post on restaurants in London... Having been a former UK resident - well all my life, I have a serious seriously good attitude to food and all things sweet. As far as I can remember, Sundays were always reserved for Dim Sum in China Town (Piccadilly Circus/Leicester Sq tube), some of the places we visited no longer exist and there are way better places to check out now. Also venturing just out of central London is the restaurant chain Royal China - always does great Dim sum but only in Putney - think the other restaurants don't quite have the high quality/great service thing going on anymore, which is sad.
Love Yauatcha (can be pricey when the cocktails start flowing ooh and they also do Tea & cake on the ground floor) Pearl Liang and Ping Pong (cheap bites). On the subject of China Town, I love a bit of won ton noodle soup, Singapore noodles and also my ultimate fave - Dry fried broad rice noodles or the black bean sauce version with lots of chilli.
Next on my list of damn good vegan/vegetarian restaurants is the fabulous bustaurant - Rootmaster, owned by a dear friend of mine, located behind the Truman Brewery. Also love Eat as they have a good range of quality food followed by 222 on the Northend Rd. oooh, just noticed the time, will continue on my pursuit of great places to eat in London later. For now I'm going to love you and leave you.
