So sometime in high school I crammed belly button rings into my ears and I haven't looked back. Now realize that belly button rings are much thicker than regular old earrings so my holes are quite stretched out. I saw my different earrings as a bit of my identity something different but something I could hold onto when it was inappropriate to keep my blue hair (yup I had blue hair for a year or two). The larger gauge has been limiting. For the most part I've worn the same 2 earrings for the last 10 years, I envy other's large hoops and see the earrings in the stores and on Etsy's pounce and think I've chosen to use the larger jewelry. When I got married my mom even found me a pair of belly button rings that had little pearls on the ends. But then a couple weeks ago I found maryandjane's a shop on etsy and a couple of her earrings are a listing for earrings that were thicker and after a few covos she even made them thicker just for me. So now I have fun earrings like the rest of you! But she has seriously cute stuff go check her shop out. I also got these from her.
