Okay kids, prepare for a little history lesson. I'm sure they're teaching you in school all about so-called "important" historical uprisings like The French Revolution, the Boston Tea Party, The Bolshevik Revolution, etc. But have they ever mentioned The Match Game 1977 School Riot? I didn't think so... Here's how it went down.
The question was: "Dumb Dora was so dumb she sent her cultured pearls to BLANK"
The contestant answered "School". When Debralee Scott (from Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman) and Richard Dawson wrote "Finishing School" and the judge wouldn't count them as a match, Debralee and Richard got indignant and the crowd went nuts. Poor Gene Rayburn looked like he needed to lie down and have a nice stiff drink.
