As I look at this month's People magazine, it becomes abundantly clear that I am, for all practical purposes, completely out of touch with the current who's-who in the celebrity world. I don't watch any reality shows, so I don't know anyone from American Idol or Dancing with the Stars. I don't watch any current dramas like House or Grey's Anatomy or CSI or whatever's popular these days. And I don't listen to any popular music either - so names like Rihanna are just meaningless.
When did this happen? I wasn't always in the dark. In fact, I was once quite "in the know". It seems like overnight I turn around and I don't recognize a single face in People magazine. Until my wife corrected me last week, I thought Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anniston were still married. Evidently, he's married to Angelina Jolie who I remember as being with Billy Bob Thornton.... whatever. (sigh)
Needless to say, don't come to Retrospace to find the latest celebrity gossip.
