I totally understand the obsession.
Every time Tira has been in my house since the one day I innocently gave her a couple pieces of Captain Crunch (as a treat I'm not fooled by the term cereal) she's asked for "Uncle's cereal". I remember thinking Captain Crunch was just awesome as a kid and it looks like the power over this one is just as strong.
