Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson have just officially been announced by Lionsgate to play Gale Hawthorne and Peeta Mellark, in "Hunger Games." The two young Hollywood stars will work alongside Jennifer Lawrence, who recently won the role of the film’s heroine Katniss Everdeen.
The movie is based on the Suzanne Collins’ best-selling trilogy set in a future in which children fight to the death in government-sponsored competitions.
The sci-fi thriller will be directed by Gary Ross and is set to hit theaters nationwide March 23 of next year.
