Birding and Steamers ~

Howdee all,

Jeff and I were told to go to Tern Island for birding..

It is also a place where people go to dig Steamers at low tide.

Tern Island is a short five minute Kayak ride..to the mud flats.

Jeff sister and hubby dug for steamers~they have a yearly license to dig.

While they were busy digging for steamers

Jeff and I went birding

There were lots of Semipalmated Sandpipers and Plovers, a few Piping Plovers, Yellowlegs, and Gulls and other shorebirds.

When we were done birding

They had collected enough for dinner…

Yummy!
