At its core, Maximall is yet another chase film, but its outrageous storyline and beautiful composition sets it head and shoulders above other shorts of the genre. The film centers on a young worker at a big box-store anchored strip mall. Evidently he is the last to leave that night and as he is starting up his scooter to go home he finds himself scarily, absurdly, targeted for destruction by sentient shopping carts. As ridiculous as the concept is, the Maximall team - Axel Tillement, Nawal Rahal, Hadrien Ledieu, and Axelle Cheriet - don't play it that way, and the final result is genuinely tense, as the relentlessness and overwhelming force of shopping carts induce zombie-esque levels of terror. This otherworldly force builds and builds towards the film’s beautifully surreal climax, producing a closing metaphor that is not labored in the least—our materialism produces an overwhelming amount of stuff that literally traps us.

Iomedes created with astonishingly large Lego recreation of the Star Destroyer from the Star Wars animated series. The model is composed of 43,000 parts. It weighs 82 kg, and it's 2,44m long. It was build based on a design created by using Dassault-Systèmes' 3D CAD software CATIA V5. The computer rendering is shown in the video below. It took two weeks to compute using multiple machines.

Fox Buys Family Dramedy From Jennifer Lopez And 'Ugly Betty' Creator
EXCLUSIVE: Fox is expanding its relationship with American Idol star Jennifer Lopez to the scripted side. The network has bought a family dramedy project from Ugly Betty creator Silvio Horta, which he is executive producing with Lopez. Sony Pictures TV, where Horta is under an overall deal, is producing the dramedy, which has landed a script commitment with penalty. The project, inspired by an idea of Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly, had been earmarked for Fox ever since Horta started developing it at Sony several months ago.
It is about a Latino family and centers on three sisters and their interlinked lives. Horta will write the script and executive produce with Lopez and her producing partner at Nuyorican Prods Simon Fields. Lopez, who started in TV as a dancer on In Living Color and actress on several series, has stayed connected to the small screen as a producer and now as judge on Idol. Nuyorican Prods’ reality series South Beach Tow was recently renewed for a second season by TruTV. Horta is with WME, Lopez with UTA

Jennifer Lopez is one of Hollywood’s biggest triple threats, and the pop megastar, “American Idol” judge and People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Person of 2011 is now adding another title to her name: designer. Lopez just launched her own fashion line at Kohl’s department stores and decided to surprise two of her ultimate fans with an exclusive first look at the fall collection on “Good Morning America.”
With Lopez by their side, Xenia Jannierre, 18, and Emily Montalvo, 19, were given up-close-and-personal style advice from their fashion idol. Montalvo immediately gravitated toward a long, strapless black dress. ”This is what I like to do with my long dresses; dress it up and wear it for nighttime,” Lopez said. “But also you can wear it with a pair of flip flops and a sweater.” “And a hat, because you love hats,” Montalvo said.
Jannierre picked out a short, structured, black and gray tweed dress. “This one I wear with a pair of high boots,” Lopez explained. “It’s a super-short dress, if you are confident enough to do that.” From rompers to faux-fur vests to sparkling jewelry, Jannierre and Montalvo gushed over the pieces. “J.Lo just loves her diamonds,” Jannierre said. “I’d probably feel like her if I put this on.” It was an afternoon of playing dress-up, learning the tricks of glamour from their style icon. “We feel like we are in your closet,” Jannierre gushed.
